As a member of the team you will work closely with Development, DevOps, QA, and Cybersecurity teams. The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing test cases, performance tests, automated integration tests for the big data platform, executing tests, trouble-shooting defects, and working with engineering teams to resolve issues. You will ensure best practices are followed while being responsive in a dynamic and iterative Agile development setting. job responsibilities Design and develop test cases for regression, performance and load tests. Execute and manage test plans and test cases for exploratory tests, acceptance tests, functional, regression, smoke, usability, performance and load tests. Support deploying the software in production environments and provide post-deployment testing. Maintain, expand and verify the existing automated test cases. Log software defects in tracking tools with reproduce steps. Verify defects fixed by Development team. Collaborate with development team on reproducing, detailing, and documenting reported defects. Track and report testing results and metrics using related tools. Ensuring that software is tested to meet all functional and non-functional requirements. Contribute to test planning and execution as part of Scrum team based on user stories and acceptance criteria. Perform full stack integration testing within our continuous integration/ continuous testing/ continuous deployment pipeline. Qualifications 7
years of experience in software development / testing. 4
years of experience in designing, automating and executing integration, performance and scalability testing. Prior experience in testing data platforms, data lakes, time series data stores. Experience identifying root cause of a defect, using debugging tools and techniques analyzing code, log files and other artefacts. Experience with designing, managing, programming and operating complex automated testing processes. Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment. Experience in developing and maintaining test automation of REST APIs using Swagger, Postman, or other web service API testing tools. Team player with strong communications skills, excellent organizational and planning skills and ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address complex technical problems. Experience creating test plans and test cases and related scripts. Demonstrate strong knowledge in software development lifecycle, software quality testing principles, practices, and patterns. Working experience with public cloud (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, etc.) Experience with Python and PowerShell. Understanding of the latest testing trends and their role in a commercial environment. Self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing trends.
