The Stage-1 also got you a more aggressive cam, single 4-barrel Rochester Quadrajet carburetor, more aggressive ignition timing, 5/8 inch oil pickup tube, and a performance axle w/ positraction final drive paired with a Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 Transmission, all from Buick.
Performance numbers at the time were known to be underrated.
